### THEATRE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FOR SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEN BASH
Oakhurst, CA – The Golden Chain Theatre will be opening their doors to the general public for their “Spooktacular Halloween Bash” to be held on Friday, October 31, 2003. This is the firs time that the theatre is opening the doors to the general public for their traditional howling good time.
The event, in the planning for several months, will feature the band “Perry Ordaz & High Priority” arranged through 12 Toes Promotions. “This band is lively and fun,” says July Amodei, owner of the promotion company. The band has a huge following in the Fresno area and plays a variety of dance tunes including Alternative, Blues/Jazz, R&B, Fund, Old School, Classic Rock, Country and Latin. They even have several original songs they throw in the mix.
The event is open to everyone age 21 and over. A full no-host bar, costume contest, raffle, photos and other fun activities will make this the best party in town. Doors open at 7pm, music starts at 8pm and the will last until 12am. Costumes are encouraged but not necessary.
“ This is a wonderful way for us to share the theatre with everyone,” says JR Froelich, President of the Theatre. The theatre is a nonprofit organization that will utilize this event as a way to showcase the facility and use funds derived from the event to assist in much needed repairs of the facility.
Don’t miss this Spooktacular good time!

Don't miss the great dinner and presentation at the Wall of Heroes Dinner The Wall of Heroes Dinner has been a long-standing tradition in the Mountain area. It has always been held the Friday before Mountain Heritage Days but had never been an official part of the celebration. This year the Wall of Heroes Dinner has been made the kick off to the three-day event. Held at the Golden Chain Theatre this year, the event will once again honor the fine men and women serving our community in their line of work. Honored this year are: with the John Terry Madera County Sheriff Department, Wendy Schwarm with Sierra Ambulance, Todd DenBeste with the California Highway Patrol and Douglas Sisk with the Madera County Fire Department. The dinner will include Tri-Tip or Chicken, potatoes, veggies, rolls and desert and can be purchased for $25 per couple or $15 per person from the SHSA office or by calling 559-683-6570. “It is important to honor those who keep us safe,” say Roy Mayhall, organizer of the event. Each honoree will ride in their perspective cars during the parade on Saturday at 10am. “It is just another way for us to thank them as a community,” adds Mr. Mayhall.
